I had to have grafting surgery with my and cadaver ground bone by an orthopedic surgeon to repair the jaw bone Dr Demars messed up in her attempt to extract a top molar. So much of my bone was missing! She had given me a plan that I trusted which looked more cost productive for me: a bridge in that area (prior to this mangle) rather than much more costly implants by someone else. While sitting in her chair at my last visit I can not say here the words she used when coming into the room to treat me. Though she was referring to someone else, I was a bit shocked at her language. She began to start a Novocaine injection in that top molar area to continue to attempt to remove the last of the molar. I'm an older lady who's been in the dentist chair many times. I had never felt the pain she was causing me that day from a Novocaine shot! I kept stopping her and telling her it hurt bad and that all other dentists had used a topical at first to lessen injection pain. She said it was in this shot. I was in tears as she dug in my mouth. Finally she stopped and asked the assistant to get xrays while she walked out the door obviously very disturbed. When the xray woman went to put the lead covering over my chest she saw that I was crying. She asked if everything was ok. I said no and that I think I just want to get up and leave. Then I realized that I COULD do that. So I said, "and that's just what I'm going to do." I got up, gathered my belongings and left. I've never been back. She kept all my money. She did call and leave a message only to say that she did nothing wrong. Hmphph. If only she'd call or have her girl call me to rectify this. I spent over $10K to fix this.
