I normally don’t write reviews but I was compelled to write this one due to unprecedented services by Dr. Pavuluri. My daughter was struggling with ADHD from last seven years. We saw many psychiatrics and psychologist but no results. Most of the doctors were interested prescribing Strattera, Vyvanse and many other stimulants. I never understood on what basis these doctors are prescribing these medications but still trusted their judgement. These medications caused too many issues with my daughter’s health while still struggling with the same issue despite on medication impacting her school grades and health. I was forced to look for alternative. Unlike previously, this time I wanted to find someone with complete knowledge of brain circuitry not just MD. After conducting search for many days, I found Dr. Pavuluri. Since doctor was booked for next months, I decided to send an email to doctor to explain the situation. I got response within five minutes and directions how to move forward with appointments. She accommodated us despite her extremely busy schedule. All good. During our first meeting, after talking to my daughter for an hour and looking at her CoGAT report, she said that my daughter doesn’t have any ADHD. She explained the issue with Executive Functioning of the brain and how it is impacting our daughter. In nutshell, there was a huge difference in my daughters behavior and school grades. Unfortunately, the hospital went out of network and we stopped seeing doctor last year in December. But recently, the hospital again joined the network, and I am excited to schedule my daughter’s appointment with Dr. Pavuluri. Final words, a psychiatric is not enough to treat people with mental illness, you need someone with a lot background in clinical research and cognitive behavior in addition to MD.
