The doctor calls her own patients and runs a thrifty old office. She seems smart and efficient but her support staff/ receptionist are a bit cold, distant, and unwilling to help patients. I called because I lost my lab requisition from 3 months ago and asked if The office could e-mail or fax me a copy and the answer was no. I asked if I could leave a question for the doctor and the answer was no. I was at my orthopedic doctors office today and called Dr. Niaz’s office to ask if it would be okay to get a cortisone injection in reference to doing damage to my kidneys and the answer was you have to see the doctor before that question would be answered. I have been a patient for the last twelve months or so but the attitude and unwillingness to be of assistance to patients is remarkable. I have to know that if rude and unsympathetic people work for you and you are the leader and doctor; this attitude prevails from the top. I cannot imagine why the office would have a no message policy for the doctor. They also do not accept debit or credit cards, but will accept a check. It makes me the patient feel worse knowing that I do not have any sort of cohesive relationship with my medical provider. So; I have to move on to find a good/ nephrologist that has a sense of kindness and compassion for the patients.??
