Dr. Murren S. Hill, PSYD

Appears intelligent, sincere, and trustworthy but behind the superficial facade of charisma is a real lack of empathy, lack of compassion, grandiosity and inflated sense of self importance and entitlement.  Believes she is superior to those of lower social class, education level and intellectual acuity.  People who are poor, overweight/obese, people of color, what she refers to as 'hillbillies and trailer trash', those struggling with alcohol or drug addiction,  trauma victims,  those suffering from mental health issues are seemingly beneath her, a headache not worth her time.  Arrogant,  condescending with narcissistic traits and tendencies.  Emotionless with the exception of boredom and disgust.

In a position which embues authority, she is motivated solely by ego, money, power, and control instead of actually helping clients. Murren omitted and withheld information, then feigned ignorance to manipulate and generate more chaos.  How does a 'Doctor of Psychology' with 15 years fail to identify and disclose pertinent information regarding obvious signs and symptoms of underlying mental health issues? Withholding information is to her advantage because it keeps you on her couch in long term therapy. 

Most serious mental illness has some degree of lack of insight or inability to see what is happening to the person with the disease, how the symptoms are manifesting, what has been distorted, and how the illness is affecting them.  The illness appears block this insight biologically. So, when it is not confronted (BY A COMPETENT PSYCHOLOGIST) and it is allowed to run amok, people will make bad choices.  
It is a brain disorder and is highly biological and it really requires medication, not therapy. Therapy can be helpful but it's only going to help so much if a person is not recieving and complying with the medical management aspect.

Medication management was all I required...not 3 years of lies, mind games, and manipulation.

Murren's exorbitant fees reflect greed ($200+ hour self pay), which is why you don't see hourly rates displayed like most practicioners.  Kept from public view, it allows unfettered fee increases to keep the money stream, like a great wave, always moving in her direction.  $200 per session but doesn't want to do anything but dole out mediocre advice that gets menial results.

I didn't realize it at the time but now know this:
Certain clients represent her bread and butter.
Individuals, like myself, who have suffered from psychological abandonment (those who as children experienced maternal deprivation, physical abuse, emotional abuse, scapegoating, gas-lighting and suffered a variety of traumas) are susceptible to developing a strong attachment and excessively dependent upon their therapist.  Murren exploits this vulnerability and emotional dependency with the sole purpose of extending the course of treatment based on her heady monetary goals.  She takes advantage of the weak, lonely, desperate and plays upon one's vulnerabilities.  How can a person in her position prey upon those struggling with mental health issues? She doesn't break any laws per se but she is void of compassion. Deceptive practices with questionable ethics/morals. Recommend anyone but Murren Hill, Psychological Renovations LLC. 

When you are considering someone to help you problem solve and navigate life, I beg you to consider Murren's insensitive, irresponsible, self-serving treatment.
