Dr Crane was recommended to me by the Alzheimer’s Association of Tennessee.  My father has had 4 appointments with her.  He has actually only seen her 2 of the 4 appointments, which is ok because she has very sweet and capable PA’s in her office.  She also seems very capable. Her bedside manner could be better.  She is very clinical.  The one aspect of her treatment that I don’t like is that she tends to talk to the family versus the patient. Even though my father has Lewy Body Dementia, he is still quite lucid.  Out of respect, I would have expected her to address her comments to him until we asked questions.  She really didn’t look at him except when she performed balance and walking tests.  Overall, I feel he is getting excellent care.  She diagnosed the LBD, provided medications which almost immediately eliminated his horrible  hallucinations and has provided ongoing monitoring and physical therapy. It could only be better if the doctor exhibited a little more compassion and consideration to her patient.
