After moving back to East Tennessee after an absence of 12 years, I found Blue Ridge Family Dentistry conveniently located and with attractive facilities. My first appointment was for a cleaning and that didn't go too well: They took x-rays and found no problems, but then the hygienist found a rather large cavity just below the gum line while performing the cleaning, causing me to involuntarily jump and howl. When the doctor came back in, he told me the cavity was visible on the x-ray, but that he'd somehow missed seeing it.

A few weeks later, I was back in with some pain and had to have a root canal. That went as well as expected, but a few months after that, more pain in another tooth led to another root canal, again seeming to go as well as could be expected. However, two weeks later I was still experiencing pain with any pressure on the tooth and returned to have it checked again. That led to a repeat of the second root canal a week later after another round of antibiotics. That one was performed by Dr. Molly, rather than the dentist who'd previously treated me, and she told me that the earlier procedure hadn't removed all of the calcification in one of the two roots and that that was likely the reason that I still had pain. As of today, three days after the repeat procedure, I'm still experiencing pain, but it comes and goes and may just be a result of the treatment rather than an indication that the treatment was again a failure. Obviously, that doesn't leave me with a lot of confidence.

The staff is always professional and the services provided were done in a timely manner. The staff make you feel welcome and always ask if you have any questions about the services provided. I'm always comfortable and look forward to my dental appointments at Blue Ridge Dentistry.
