I moved to Providence and started going to this dentist about 2 years ago. I've gotten erroneous bills twice for services I didn't have performed (had to call and have corrected) and was told a lot of incorrect information about my insurance coverage, including two separate receptionists insisting I was covered for dental implants even though I knew I wasn't. I was told a third time that my dental implant would be covered 50% by my insurance, which I also knew not to be true. Finally, when I reached out a fourth time to figure out what I should anticipate the cost of my dental implant to be, they quoted me $2500~$4000, which, to me, seems like a wildly different range. Most recently, I had an x-ray done that I knew was NOT covered by my insurance, I tried to pay for it with my HSA at the reception, and I was told there was no charge and my insurance would cover it... except I got a bill for it a month later for hundreds of dollars.

Dr. Alkurdi is a good dentist, but needs to have better training for office staff and consistent messaging. I realize insurance billing is complicated, but these were follow-up calls, after someone had supposedly researched these questions for me. I tried to be fair and give the benefit of the doubt, but I manage my HSA and my health claims closely, and I just can't afford to be given incorrect information like this.
