My husband tore his bicep tendon completely off the bone and muscle. He is very active. He’s 46 years old and has a very active construction job. This injury could have been catastrophic for our business. I did a search for orthopedic surgeon and was so excited to see that Dr Retino was in Florida. I had previously worked in the OR with his in Ohio. He’s very meticulous and detail oriented and one of the best surgeons I have ever worked with. Surgery was quite a bit more difficult than planned but Dr Retino did a wonderful job. We have not hit the physical therapy stage but my husband has had very little pain postop!! He’s very honest and has great bedside manner. Does not rush and makes sure you have all your questions answered. 

On a side note he performed surgery on my friend’s son’s elbow a few years back. He was 17 and fractured his elbow. He was a D1 recruit for baseball and was told he would never throw again. He is now playing baseball in college and throwing 95 MPH.
