My son was scheduled for a basic tooth extraction.   We were considering Nitrous Oxide to alleviate anxiety.   My son askedme about side effects of the gas. I in return asked the doctor. He told me you don't have to use the medication.  I asked specifically about negative side effects. The doctor told me he was not sure what I was asking about. With all the healthcare reform that is going through our country, this office will be left behind. Patient satisfaction should be important, along with patient's basic rights.  My son and I were not given basic patient rights at this office. We were not provided with the informed part of informed consent. I am just thankful we were not there for aore complicated procedure. I would consider other Oral Surgeons in the area.
