McKenzie Furgason, AuD, has joined PeaceHealth Medical Group’s Audiology and Ear, Nose and Throat team at University District. She earned her doctor of audiology at Pacific University and completed her clinical externship at University of Oklahoma Health Science Center and Children’s Hospital. She earned her bachelor’s degree in communication disorders from Brigham Young University. Her philosophy of care is to assist in helping patients communicate more effectively through individualized care, evidenced-based practices and compassionate support. “When a patient comes back and says what I did helps them, it is very rewarding,” she added. She is married and has a five-month-old Aussiedoodle puppy named Kirby, and enjoys crocheting, reading, going to concerts and finding new restaurants.
