My training began in biomedical engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I then earned my medical degree at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. I next completed pediatric residency, with a certificate in global health, at the University of Minnesota, followed by a year-long fellowship in medical device innovation. I completed subsequent fellowship training in pediatric hematology, oncology, and bone marrow transplantation at the Medical College of Wisconsin. My clinical program is built around the principle that tumor-directed molecular and genomic testing, not patient age or cancer diagnosis alone, should guide cancer treatment decisions.
