Dr. Matthew J. Mermer, MD

Mathew J Mermer did not check any medications I take or even provide any pre-operative consultation prior to my invasive spinal surgery despite having plenty of opportunities. So when I showed up for my surgery a nurse caught the surgeons mistake and realized the ibuprofen which he should have known I take was a risk for surgery. Because of this neglect and danger created by Mathew Mermer my surgery was then canceled for the day. After much effort only on my side and about 2 months I was finally able to get my surgery rescheduled. One of the efforts I took to have my surgery reschedules was unfortunately a complaint. In a completely unprofessional unprompted manor, Mathew decided to call me, legally threaten me, then cancel my surgery and hang up. After having Kaiser my entire life this was the last straw. I no longer can trust them with not only my health but my safety.
