I really appreciate Dr. Atkins compassionate and thorough approach during my new patient visit/surgical assessment. He immediately acknowledged my extensive family history and was sympathetic to the impact it has on me and my own surgical planning. He was very generous with his time and spent what I assume to be at least twice as long as usual for a new patient visit to address all of my questions. Referencing imaging to evaluate or explain certain aspects of my CV structure and function was beneficial to my overall understanding and alleviated some concerns. I feel we were aligned in understanding of my personal risk factors and the goal of a proactive, well timed surgical intervention to eliminate chances of an emergent one later on. Based on this visit I feel confident Dr. Atkins would provide excellent surgical care when needed and appreciate his willingness to stay informed on relevant aspects of my care in the meantime.

This is definitely speaking in mind to Dr Atkins. He's amazing. He is just so busy though. Doesn't have a lot of time to go over certain things and I forgot to ask him like if I could go back on my infusion drugs for my RA and can I take the pain meds like Meloxicam now. That was my fault but I still need to know so I'll have to call his nurse Daisy
