Sought couples counseling with Martha Mullen, whom my partner had seen previously (until she had felt unheard re: an unrelated issue and stopped seeing her.) Had some initial success, then somewhat less so. Learned today that Martha had basically chosen sides--telling my partner that since she'd been her (Martha's) individual client in the past, she had no responsibility for or interest in having us both attend the sessions--Martha would prefer to just focus on her, despite my partner having specifically requested that we be seen together. I've never heard of a therapist just declining to see half of a couple who have sought help together. :-( I would recommend extreme caution in trusting her to counsel couples. Do not recommend.
