While Dr. Morgan is an exceptional physician, this last visit - from a customer service standpoint - was not great. I originally starting with Dr. Morgan in 2020 when I bled from my socket. I had gone to Belton Eye Care, and they said my eye was fine. I then contacted BSW Eye Institute who scheduled an appointment for me with Dr. Morgan. He examined my eyes and told me my eyes were healthy and was watching something in my eye for long-term changes (I can't remember what but it was a normal occurrence). He said see you next year - 2021. While this situation of bleeding from the eye socket continued a few more times with no diagnoses from anyone (I also went to ENT and Audiology), I just kept scheduling my appointments each year thinking I was supposed to keep my yearly exams with him. This 2026 visit, he came into the room with an intern and began to explain to me that he was a surgeon and does not do routine care. He went on to tell me of all the wonderful eye doctors on staff at BSW and said that I should be seeing them not him. I tried to explain how I was originally assigned to him because of the eye socket bleeding, but by this time, I felt embarrassed that I was wasting his time. He did the exam, but I felt like it was beneath him and that I shouldn't have been there. While I don't want to waste anyone's time, there could have been another way to handle that situation. I was embarrassed and felt like I needed to defend why I scheduled the appointment. Dr. Morgan is a terrific doctor, and I hope I have him as a surgeon if I ever need one. But in terms of that experience, it could have been handled differently.
