Dr. Schutte is by far the best physician I’ve had in over 20 years. She takes the time to listen to you, she never rushes you out. Her staff is also excellent, if I call and have to leave a message my calls are returned promptly. I always feel like everyone is happy to see me and Dr. Schutte makes sure she is doing everything she can to help you. Dr. Schutte is not in my insurance network however I will not change physicians. Her care is worth the out of pocket cost to me.

I want to be fair and equitable in my review. For several years, Dr. Schutte was one of the best and most caring physicians I have ever had, and I would have recommended her to anyone without a complaint. Unfortunately, I can no longer say that. She has maintained me on a number of high risk medications for my conditions for several years, and out of the blue, with no warning, suddenly refused to refill ANY medications, including those to control diabetes and hypertension. I moved away, and due to COVID and other issues have had difficulty finding a local physician to assume my care. I asked her many times for a referral and introduction to a local provider given my complex history, but she refused. While tele-medicine visits have been fine for months, with labs obtained at another facility, she suddenly refused all service unless I could take off work and drive 10 hours round trip (not including the hour or more I would spend in her office, exposed to COVID patients and other sick people). I was very surprised, and have been left scrambling and attempting to self-titrate my medications to prevent withdrawal or serious side effects until I can get an appointment locally, which so far has proved impossible. Apparently she thinks I should end up in the emergency room with severe complications from elevated blood pressure and blood sugar, not to mention horrible side effects from stopping other medications that specifically say NOT to discontinue without the direct supervision of a physician.

I have filed a complaint with the Georgia Medical Licensing Board, which is pending - they indicate it could be MONTHS before their investigation is complete.

Dr.Schutte asked good questions and gave helpful answers to my questions. She was very thorough and discovered that one of my meds was expired and made certain I had a new RX. She was very approachable and made it easy to talk about my health. She gave me orders for some exams I have been procrastinating about and was not judgmental. I left feeling encouraged and may even start exercising. We'll see. Bottom line is that I have already recommended her to others and I am very happy to have found her.

At 68 years old, I can easily say Dr. Schutte is the best doctor I have ever had. 25+ years she has taken care of my family and I with professionalism, compassion, and most of all, humor. The ability to make a patient laugh under difficult circumstances, makes her an outstanding doctor IMHO.
