Dr. Buono was funny, direct and honest up front. However, when I had continuing severe symptoms a few weeks after surgery and they persisted for months... First, he blamed my still being on low dose opioids for pain continuing. Counterintuitive! Then he created a bs diagnosis of meralgia paresthetica after checking my hips via Xray. After a few more months, I went to a different surgeon who immediately showed me the 3 broken screws Dr. Buono put in and told me the screws have to be at 90° angles otherwise they'll break. Even my first post-op Xrays showed  eccentric screw placement at far less than 90° angles. I have not taken any legal action against this doctor, but I'm certainly upset he took so little care during my surgery as to now lead me to have broken screws, and did not honestly follow up on the results of his own surgery. I expect better than that.
