Dr. Carpenter read our anatomy ultrasound (we had no choice - you are unaware of who is on at VUMC OB until you show up). She completely misread our ultrasound and caused a significant amount of issue throughout our pregnancy. To make it worse she came to talk to my husband and I (we are both physicians) and had the worst bedside manner I have ever witnessed in my 10+ year medical career. She could not answer simple questions about her own interpretation of our scan. I know of other families who's ultrasounds she has misinterpreted causing great distress.
