I needed a doctor and when I called KVH family they paired me with her since she was accepting new patients at the time. I had no knowledge of her so I went online and found a profile of hers. There were 3 red flags off the top. 1) Her profile and hers alone looked like she had went to an advertising agency to get it done. I'm a writer and was impressed by how flawlessly professional it was. None of the other doctor's profiles were that well done. 2) Her profile was the normal banality that you'd expect except for 2 small bits of personal info to make it appear to be persona. The first was a quote of hers saying that she loves poor people. 'they're so grateful for every little thing that she does for them.!' Who talks like that? And why would anyone say anything like that ever let alone to brag about it. I let it go for the time being thinking nothing of it and met with her in a room that should have been 2 maybe even 3 different room in one. The desk that the doctor sat at was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy on the other side of the room from the patients. You'd need a bullhorn to communicate back and forth. While discussing my issues, I asked her why my nose wouldn't stop running when I do take allergy meds every day. She refused to answer even though I asked 3 times. Then she asked why wasn't I sitting wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy on the other side of the room.. I turned and looked down the length of the room and then back at her with my confusion written clearly across my face. She turned back forward and continued her bullet type interrogation with her head down and turned away. After the appt I get a phone call from her nurse telling me that we didn't get along and it was best that we not see one another again. Which was completely fine. I went on with my life and was willing to let it go at that. But then a letter saying that I had been discharged from services at that clinic permanently. I was floored. What the ?!!? The 3rd thing on her profile that made me uneasy was her saying that she loved how small this town is because it allowed her to walk wherever she wanted to. She just had me blacklisted in a tiny town that she knows doesn't have many alternatives for a PCP. I'm still dealing with the fall out over this situation and don't see it being resolved anytime soon. When I spoke with an administrator at that clinic I heard that she and a few other doctors and even a PA named Megan Gesime have reputations for doing this. It's actually quite common. The last time I was there, the office admin woman was saying that this was the second time this week that this had happened with someone. I can't believe that this is allowed to happen in a professional office. It's worse than mean girls in high school. Just please, for you benefit and peace of mind, find a GOOD doctor!!!! Because she is most definitely NOT it.
