I've seen Dr. Amoroso for quite a while. While she is nice enough and the staff is amazing, I don't think she listens for anything. I feel like she doesn't take my concerns seriously. I could enter her office and be impaled with glass shards, ask for help/care, and just be told that I'm impaled with whatever because of my weight/diet/etc. I shouldn't feel like my doctor doesn't take me seriously, and my concerns should have merit. I should be listened to. Not everyone is the same, and I feel that the lack of regard towards patient's concerns (who, by the way, know their body, because they live in it) just because something *usually* is one way or another is wrong. Just because something is most likely one thing, doesn't mean it is. Tests are needed, as are more questions to narrow something down. Purely because something seems orthodox doesn't mean it is, and I don't think Dr. Amoroso understands that. I shouldn't have to beg for tests. Albeit, I do eventually receive the tests or whatever it is that I've asked for, but it shouldn't take multiple visits.
