The main reason I give Julie a 2 is due to her bedside manner. She was very rude to me and acted like she did not care in least. Julie gave me a field vision test and examined my retina. She kept saying something doesn’t look right with the retina but she wasn’t sure what it was. She then gave me a list of professionals (I’m assuming they are affiliated with her and get referral fees)….. and told me there’s probably nothing they can do but that I should get diagnosed anyway. I feel as though the only thing she cared about was lining her own pockets. I’m sure she doesn’t get much off of the basic eye exam so referrals to these specialists whenever she can do so probably makes her a certain % of the fee for procedures and consultations. This I feel is her bread and butter more so than the eye exams themselves. While Julie’s diagnosis may have been correct, I will be seeking an alternate opinion from specialists that are not affiliated with her or her practice and one that doesn’t have a motive to fill her pockets. I need an unbiased opinion for the diagnosis and I feel if I go to the professionals she recommended, they will base their diagnosis on what procedures and practices will make the most money and not what is best for me as the patient. I know eye doctors are supposed to be unbiased but I feel in this instance I would only be fed bullshit and persuaded to do things that may not be pertinent for treating my condition.
