After initial diagnosis I was told by my pulmonary doctor that I was not a candidate for surgery due to my COPD.  Dr. Gellen had a strong relationship with a doctor at Roswell and felt he might feel I could tolerate surgery and it would be a faster and better option for me.  I was set up with this doctor, and he did perform surgery which was by far the best and most efficient option with no other treatment needed.
