Dr. Kim is the epileptologist who cared for our son in the last 4 years. The kid has intractable epilepsy and had failed a couple of medications when we first saw him. Thanks to Dr. Kim's knowledge, availability, and relentless care, we managed to control seizures completely - twice (there was an onset of new seizure types last year). I also appreciate the fact that Dr. Kim was very diligent in striving to understand what causes my kid's seizures. We used all resources available - blood tests, genetic tests, diagnostic imaging, referral to a reference hospital for potential brain surgery. Overall, we've had a great experience with him throughout this time. We'll definitely miss him as we leave the US.

Dr Kim is always thoughtful and caring with regard to the care of our children. He is patient and listens to our concerns, and addresses them. He doesn't jump to conclusions and doesn't group our children in with the masses when making recommendations about the type of care that is needed. He is not afraid to do the work necessary to help our children, whereas other specialists at Providence seem to regurgitate information out of a text book and are quick to make generalizations. As a majority, providers are failing, but Dr Kim is in the minority because he truly seems to care deeply about his patients

Dr Kim has always been thoughtful and resilient regarding our daughter's care. He has always followed up with us via MyChart and/or phone calls when most providers wouldn't. He addressed our concerns and worked with us to find solutions that were obtainable. Without Dr Kim's efforts, my wife and I are convinced that our daughter would still be enduring difficulties with her health. Her vast improvement in her quality of life can be and should be directly attributed to Dr Kim.

Dr. Kim is excellent at thoughtfully considering his word choice before fully constructing a sentence. It appears he has every desire to represent the child and situation with extreme accuracy. He is kind in his delivery of information in that he doesn't elaborate or offer false hope or use ambiguous language. We appreciate his communication style and his effort put into it.

Upon our first neurologist retiring, Dr. Kim is the second neurologist we have had with our son. It has been a welcoming vast difference between the two. We have learned more, from Dr Kim in a much less judgmental atmosphere, than we ever had previously.Which in turn has led us to feel more comfortable how to handle our son's condition.

Dr Kim was very thorough asking questions about our son and his condition, and reviewing and clarifying the tests that weee transferred over from another hospital. Dr Kim took time to listen and answer our questions, and provide a detailed treatment plan. We are grateful to have him guide us on this epilepsy journey with our son.

Dr. Kim really listened to my daughter and to me about her symptoms that have been going on since 2019 and that another peds neurologist completely ignored and said Mom was making her symptoms into a bigger deal. Dr. Kim seemed genuine and wanted to help and gave us answers in order to help her. We appreciate this so very much.

Dr. Was very kind and playful with my baby. He addressed all my concerns and gave me a full overview of everything he was able to see going well and not well and all the options to improve moving forward. His communication was very clear and compassionate. I wish we would have had him as our neurologist sooner!

He was over 30 min late to seeing us AND no one told us he was running behind. We waited about 40 min in the room after the appt time. He was visibly annoyed and irritated. She is special needs and struggles with being touched, he was disrespectful to her disability and talked down to her.
