Dr. Joseph Edmond Hartwich, MD

Dr Joseph Hartwich is a specialty care physician board certified in general and pediatric surgery at Inova. Dr Hartwich has specific interest in the surgical care of newborn infants and pediatric surgical oncology. He is trained in the most up-to-date minimally invasive techniques to ensure a rapid recovery after every child’s surgery. As a pediatric surgeon, he restricts his practice to children alone, ranging from premature neonates to adolescents, and specializes in surgical diseases affecting children. After graduating from medical school at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Dr Hartwich attended a general surgery residency at Virginia Commonwealth University (Medical College of Virginia) in Richmond.
