Dr. Schmoker saved my life in 2018 by repairing my aorta after I spent 12 hours in the Emergency Room at Community Medical Center. Luckily their lead cardiac Dr came on shift and ran a test to find that I had been bleeding out of my heart the entire time. They immediately sent me by ambulance to the International Heart Institute where Dr. Schmoker performed open heart surgery and saved me.

I don't see how Dr. Schmoker could have done any better. He had reviewed my case, my scan results, my meds and we talked about them. He is personable, was easy to "connect" with and answered questions to my satisfaction. Although, I only see him once a year for a check-up (at least at this point), he inspires confidence that he will take care of me within his ability to do so.

He also had a clear understanding of how my condition needed to be treated, and left me feeling very safe and comfortable. The office staff and nurses have been extremely patient and helpful. I have called several times with questions and the have responded quickly. I had trouble getting a test scheduled at another hospital and Honey was extremely helpful in getting its cheduled. Dr.Schmocker was patient and answered almy questions.
