Dr Essers should be consulted by other providers on how to address engagement and care for patients who are from medically marginalized communities. He is trustworthy, listens for understanding, provides thorough explanations. He demonstrates empathy and compassion. It is very clear that he embodies what it means to be a physician who cares about the work, his patients, and the IBD community. He is a partner in care not just a physician. We have been very lucky to have him and have made employment sacrifices to maintain him as our INN medical provider.

Dr.Essers is one of the best doctors that I ever encountered. It's sad to see him leave and now I'm worried that my daughter will not find an amazing doctor to treat her Crohn's. He's very knowledgeable, he fights the insurance company to make sure his patients get the best medicine. He cares about his patients and we are heartbroken to see him gone. Both my daughter and I cried when we got the news of his departure. Thank you Dr. Essers for being our super hero. Keep being the amazing, kindhearted person. God bless you.

Pleasant experience from scheduling through the actual appointment, professional and friendly. Scheduler, front desk, nurse, assistant, and doctor were wonderful. Dr. Essers was respectful and excellent at providing education in a way that was easy to understand. He listened well and took the time to answer questions thoroughly. I feel that it's very common now days to have health concerns brushed off by providers and you can feel very unheard. The doctor looked at my child and her records as an individual case and addressed my concerns and we talked about follow care. We were not cared for as if every case he sees is the same and I was so impressed by this. It was really nice to feel like the doctor cared and understood her medical history. I wish there where more doctors like him.

Grateful for competent and efficient staff in Dr Essers office-scheduler, office staff, rn team; forever appreciative for Dr Essers and his positive but realistic approach, clear/ balanced explanations, use of data charts to support his medical care advice, and demeanor with us as parents and our young children (patients). Dr Easers' was the most amazing Dr I have seen in many years. His treatment and best side manner were phenomenal. He explained my daughters condition thoroughly and in such a way that she felt respected, listened to and empowered to put in place the suggestions he made. Beyond grateful for the attitude, efficiency, practicality, and thoroughness of Dr. Essers. He is fantastic with our little one, 2, who is his actual patient, but also with us and in discussing possible implications for the entire family, including our newborn. He and his team are easily accessible and we feel so supported by them. Highly recommended to anyone in our same medical boat!
