I recently had an appointment with this provider and wanted to share some thoughts. While I believe he is knowledgeable and appreciated his explanation of the risks related to surgery. As well as the reasoning for taking a more conservative approach. I did find the communication style a bit challenging. I'm a proactive patient who asks questions and likes to fully understand my options. During the visit, I felt that my questions were sometimes met with defensiveness, and I didn't always feel heard. It seemed like my efforts to understand were interpreted as disagreement, when in fact I was largely in agreement with his plan. At one point, there was also a comment made about avoiding tests that aren't medically necessary, which came across as dismissive of a previous provider's decision to order imaging. In that case, I was experiencing pain and bruising without injury, and the imaging did reveal an issue ..so I believe it was appropriate. That comment left me feeling a bit uncomfortable. Overall, while I value a conservative and thoughtful medical approach, and I agree that surgery isn't the right step at this time. I believe the patient provider relationship works best when it feels collaborative and respectful.

First time meeting Dr Harrison I just want to say very outstanding very kind most of all he explained everything they needed to be done but he took his time he didn't rush he asked me if had any questions but what I appreciate most of all is he explained everything and he took his time and he made me feel very comfortable and I appreciate that so much because sometimes you don't get that from surgeons or from even your primary care doctor but just outstanding
