I saw Jessica multiple times after my former psychiatric nurse left the previous practice I was using. Upon first meeting her, I was impressed with the level of knowledge she seems to have. I was there to get assistance with coming off my anti-depressant as well as to have my attention deficit medication managed. However, by the end of the first one-hour appointment, she had stated that she believed I have Asperger's, which is a very serious diagnosis to receive after such a short visit.

With each additional visit after that, I attempted to discuss why she thought this, with me providing articles and studies showing that I had very few of the symptoms (the ones I have are "symptoms" nearly everyone presents at some point in their lives). She kept insisting that even though I didn't have this or that symptom, it isn't always the case that one with Asperger's would have it. Every symptom I told her I didn't have, she found a way to essentially tell me that not everyone has that symptom.

After mentioning it to my therapist - who has known me over a year - and with a new psychiatric nurse, I received a shocked look from both men and statements saying that they would never, in a million years, ever diagnose me that way.

Jessica seems to be incredibly intelligent and has a large amount of potential, but I was unimpressed with her insistence at this diagnosis and refusal to listen to me.

Regarding the office, it was uncomfortable and felt old and run-down. There was also one appointment that I waited 54 minutes after my appointment time to see her due to their systems being down and them needing to hand-write everything. I found this to be unacceptable as they had only transitioned to digital a couple months prior and should have already had a system in place with how to handle no technology.
