Dr.Klauschie, fixed my prolapse, which was great! She was rushed, spoke way to fast and pretty impatient. However, my doctor recommended her so I went along with it. Day after my surgery I went in next day to get my cath and packing removed. What a NIGHTMARE!! The nurse couldnt find a spare medical toilet. She tried to put me on a high table and bring me a bucket to relieve myself. I was so sore from surgery she felt bad and said we could use the restroom. I had to wait, sranding, sore and tored for a patient to finish. They destroyed the bathroom and the ppor nurse grabbed wipes and spray to sanitize the bathroom. I couldnt urinate and instead of having me rest and wait they sent me home. Soon I realized I might need a cath. The office said to call if there was an issue, so I called. They werent sure if they could cath me again and said I could go to the emergency room. Again what a nightmare. Then my follow-up they said I needed a referrel, and 7 phone calls later found out I DIDN'T need one. I NEVER saw Dr. Klauschie again. So glad to know she didn't really care.

I specifically requested a referral to see Dr. Klauschie because she is a urogynecologist. I am an RN with a complicated gyn and urinary history.   The first time I saw Dr. Klauschie for consultation was okay, but she was very brief and seemed rushed.  When I went in for my procedure (cystoscopy and bladder biopsy), I was seen by a PA who told me she would start the procedure and Dr. Klauschie would finish it.  The PA did the cystoscopy (very uncomfortable!) and left the room to get the doctor. Then the PA came back and said she would continue because Dr. Klauschie was tied up.  The PA then did the cystoscopy AGAIN and the biopsy.  I could see on the screen the area that was being biopsied and I asked the PA what would cause that.  She said she didn't know, it might be from having had bladder infections.  Her uncertainty was NOT reassuring at all! The specimen she got was so small that the medical assistant asked the PA if there was enough and they both squinted to look at the specimen.  The PA said she guess it was enough.  Then I was told to wait and the doctor would be in.  After about 10 minutes, Dr. Klauschie did come in and told me they would let me know about the bladder biopsy.  She never explained why, or apologized for no doing my procedure and biopsy herself.  I felt like I was pawned off on the PA and I did not feel that the PA was anywhere near as knowledgeable or experienced as a urogynecologist.  I still wonder if my condition was accurately evaluated.

I went to Dr Klauschie for IC and she did a bunch of test and determined what I had already been diagnosed with and then told me this was not her speciality.  She is a urologist why would she not specialize in bladder issues. She is not personable at all and I did not feel like I could talk to her.  She was supposed to perform a pap smear for me during one of my tests but never did.  I felt like I was just a number.  She rushed through every visit.  I will not be going back to her.  Bedside manner is very important.
