This surgeon did a VATS procedure on my mom. His clinical judgement decided that the lymph nodes appeared cancerous for Stage 3 lung cancer and therefore decided not to take a biopsy of the core mass in her lung. He never came and did follow up at the bedside and when he received the pathology results, he did not tell the patient or patients family and dictated them to some random service. The results never got transferred to the computer. When we called him to ask him  about this and the results he was the rudest doctor I have ever met and I have been an ER and ICU nurse for 17+ years.

 He said 'that's not my problem', he showed no empathy nor did he try to solve the problem yet he gave me a verbal diagnosis of a lymphoma over the phone. The hospital never received those final results. This surgeon is arrogant and also has poor clinical judgement. Now we have to go to Sloan Kettering to have additional testing and confirmation of a diagnosis. Both the Infectious Disease doctor and the Hospitalist said that he should have biopsied the mass and not have made the clinical judgement that he did.  A Not to mention, did the surgery on a Wednesday and it is now Saturday and we still have no conclusive results.  His comment was 'I did my job, this is no longer my case'. 

I would never recommend this surgeon
