Run away from this Doctor! The most unethical.
I was a fan of Dr.Lopez and he let me down. I have placed 23 calls (i am not exaggerating) to his office and to Orlando Health answering service. I have received zero calls back. The first calls were to schedule my one year appointment and then to get a refill on my prescriptions. His office cancelled my appointment leaving a message. I tried calling back and left several messages. No one called back. I made a second appt and have left several messages to get my prescriptions refilled and no one has called me back. [The plan Dr Lopez set up was for me to be on two prescriptions for a year, then get tested and review the blood work to get me off the prescriptions.]
When they cancelled my appt by leaving a messaged, i called back several mire times.
As a last resort, I left an urgent message using Orlando Health’s MyChart and no one called me back. Again. Two weeks later, I called the answering service and begged the call center to connect me. I explained I have an upcoming appointment & i hope the office doesn’t cancel last minute again and most importantly I wanted confirmation that the office still exists. The answering service felt so bad, i was transferred and told by staff at Dr Lopez’s office that he would refill my prescription for one month, to get me in to see him. I asked for lab work that he had told me from the previous appt I needed to get done for my next visit with him. He is the one that said that at the next visit i needed to bring my lab work results to see how treatment was going.
But today, I was told Dr Lopez preferred to see me and then give me lab work orders and then i would have to come back again and pay copay again. I asked to get lab work so he and I could review during my visit as previously agreed. His office staff said Dr Lopez said no, and as such, he was cancelling my one month prescription refill. I think its beyond unethical to penalize the patient for the mess that is his office. As the patient all im trying to do is do what is best for me. im trying to continue the treatment my Doctor put me on and get blood work to see if the treatment my doctor had me on worked. Now he just canceled my appointment, my prescription and who knows if ill even be able to get my medical records. Plus, im left without a doctor and two years worth of treatments down the drain.
