After masses were seen on pelvic ultrasound and MRI ordered by my gynecologist, I contacted Penn Medicine to see a gynecological oncologist. After speaking with the scheduler they recommended I see Dr. Tanyi. I was able to get an initial appointment within 2 weeks. During this very stressful time of not knowing if I had cancer, Dr. Tanyi listened to my history, explained what he saw in the scans, and recommended options for next steps. He was kind, thorough, and professional. The Penn staff at the Jordan Center were caring, friendly and supportive. Dr. Tanyi escorted me to the scheduler who scheduled my surgery and follow up appointments. Since then Dr. Tanyi performed my hysterectomy,  saw me in the hospital, and I had my follow up visit. He always takes time to explain what’s happening and answer all questions. Dr. Tanyi and Penn Medicine have provided excellent care for me through my cancer diagnosis.
