I was involved in a traffic accident where I was rear ended while completely stopped at a traffic light. The truck that hit me was traveling at 45 mph. I went from running 2 miles a day and maintaining a fit 132 pound physique to enduring 2.5 years of chronic pain, migraines and physical impairment. I pursued physical therapy, chiropractic, massage therapy, accupuncture, MRI's, hospital treatments, etc in hopes of finding relief of any kind. I was unable to walk or sit or sleep without pain, let alone run any longer. When it finally came time to settle the insurance claim, the insurance company of the driver that hit me (who by the way admitted fault and plainly stated that he was speeding and not paying attention at all) mandated that I attend a third party evaluation by the chiropractor of their choosing. They chose Caviezel. This insurance contracted 'evaluation' person (I hesitate to use the word 'chiropractor' as that implies that they are a healer who cares about making people well) took half an hour to 'thoroughly' evaluate my condition. His report (included in a settlement decision) stated that I had no level of impairment that could be attributed to the accident whatsoever. He further attested that any loss of range of motion and any presentation of pain was from the normal aging process that occurs in the body of a 34 year old female and that the accident caused no injury contributing to the pain I was experiencing.

I believe this 'provider' is a hack and a sell out and does nothing to represent his chosen profession with honor and respect.

I have never been able to resume my previous normal physical activities and have not seen 132 pounds of fit body since the day of the accident. I am now treated for arthritis and experience daily pain throughout my body as a result of the injuries sustained, but then again it must all be in my mind, since this expert evaluated my condition as not resulting from being rear ended at 45 mph by a big truck. Regardless of 'his' opinion, the legal decision was contrary to that.
