I am a full time professional student with a busy schedule.

I had an initial appointment with Sinclair for a wellness check, pap, and some on-going concerns I had about my health. I presented a list of symptoms I had been experiencing and she and I agreed to run some bloodwork. I would need to schedule an additional visit for the pap. The staff MAs were unable to draw my blood, so I had to find another break in class time to come back the next week.

While waiting for the bloodwork to come back, I contracted a virus (which may potentially have been obtained at the clinic as that's a common route for this type of virus). She was able to see me quickly, but was clearly confused as to what was going on. My symptoms dramatically changed in the course of a day and I sought care the ER the following evening (where I was prescribed antibiotics for a virus...).

When my virus developed more symptoms, I opted to follow up with Sinclair two days after the ER visit, the MA taking my history had zero understanding of anything that had happened prior. She said there was nothing in the notes documented about the virus.

Despite the ER visit occurring at the SAME medical complex/hospital company, they had no records from that, either.

Either way, she referred me out, same-day to a specialist at another clinic to deal with the virus, which I appreciated. She also presented me with a working diagnosis for my initial concerns. We had already ruled out the main diagnostic differentials for her diagnosis (via bloodwork) as well, which was confusing. She suggested there may be additional testing to do, and never followed up as to what that was.

When I messaged her about changes in symptoms, her curt reply was just to follow up with the other doctor (which, I had already done, I just wanted to keep her in the loop since it was obvious it was problematic for their office to get records).

Subsequently, there was never any inquiry as to how I was doing from Sinclair's staff, no follow up from their office at all.

2 weeks after my last visit with her (after resolution of the acute viral concern), I messaged her to ask about how we might proceed about my initial concerns. She replied that my case was "too complicated" and that other doctors in her office were taking patients. No offer to round my case to anyone else, no follow up about the previous illness.

So, now, despite missing classes for multiple weeks to make appointments and deal with an acute concern on top of the prior chronic concern, I need to start over with another provider and hope that some information makes it to them from Sinclair's clinic.

It was shocking, to say the least, and while I know medical providers are overworked, stressed, and often have too many patients, the lack of follow-up, the missing ER records, and turfing me to someone else without even addressing my concerns was frustrating, to say the least.
