Dr. Hidekazu Hosono, MD

Dr Hosono was AMAZING! We're so thankful that Dr Hall referred us to Dr Hosono for Endocrinology. Dr Hosono was great at explaining an overview of where we are in the process, research, things he looks for, what's next, asking thoughtful questions along the way and LISTENING so very intently to my son and to myself. It was evident that he had reviewed the information in my son's chart and that he is very knowledgeable in this area. We really appreciated his explanations and sketching things out during our time together on the whiteboard. I felt so much better and so much less apprehensive than I had before this visit. Additionally, I had a follow up response to one of his questions that I sent via My Chart and he had read and replied to me in less than 10 minutes from my submission of that note and information. He's just fantastic - we are very impressed and very thankful that we're working with him on our plan.

Dr. Hosono is a VERY good listener. He takes time to listen, asks questions that help me remember details and takes time to think. He isn't in a hurry. I feel like he WANTS to solve health problems and help kids get better. Unfortunately, so many other doctors feel like they treat us like a "checklist"-- they will come in, and check us off as "seen" without trying to dig deep and figure out what is going on. This is NOT the case with Dr, Hosono... He actively tries to figure out what underlying problems are. He is compassionate. He makes me feel welcome to contact him anytime if I remember something, something changes, or I just have a question. My kids really appreciate his help and care and the way he treats them.

Dr. Hosono is an incredibly skilled physician. He has a real gift for explaining challenging concepts in a rigorous and non-patronizing way that all of us (parents and child) could understand. He is also incredibly responsive. He addressed a concern we had immediately and followed up on an after hours message right away. He looked at lab results immediately and followed up with us so we wouldn't have to be spinning around in uncertainty. He took the time to learn about what interests my child and worked to connect with her about that. He asks, non-medical questions to build rapport in a genuine and authentic way. This provider is a gem.

Dr. Hosono goes above and beyond for my son. He is SO kind and knowledgeable. He is very compassionate and enthusiastic at the same time! He REALLY cares about the whole family and makes appointments feel like a visit with a friend. His appointments go at an easy pace, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions. He never makes us feel foolisl-- he makes every question seem like a great question that he is happy to answer. Every concern he takes seriously and his communication skills are amazing. We REALLY appreciate Dr. Hosono and wish we could get his level of care and expertise in other doctors.

This provider was exceptional! My child was referred to him as he's a specialist, although I wish he was primary care because I'd switch my children to him in a heartbeat. He's funny, attentive, and so thorough in his explanations. I appreciate that he spoke to my daughter directly, then asked me if I had any questions. My daughter was receptive to this and has already implemented a lot of his advice/suggestions. He explained things to her in terms of "Legos" which absolutely clicked with her. Again, Dr. Hosono is absolutely exceptional!

Love Dr.Hosono! He is super patient and listens and explains everything in an easy manner to understand. He makes you feel comfortable, great bed side manners and very knowledgeable on every thing we asked. Never seen such a well mannered doctor in my life so far, who actually cares for his patients. Not just that, he walks you out, hands off to the receptionist, waits to see if we are still comfortable and says good bye like a friend. Highly recommend him to anyone who needs to see pediatric endocrinologist!

We can't say enough good things about Dr Hosono to do the care he gives justice. He is SO knowledgeable, his communication skills far exceed those of any other doctor, he is caring and considerate and relates to his patients and is SO prepared with medical history, and doesn't EVER feel like he is in a hurry. If only all doctors could be like Dr Hosono. He found his calling and our family is so thankful for the privilege of having him as a doctor in hard medical circumstances.

I wish all doctors are like Dr. Hososno. He is my child's VERY favorite doctor. Dr. Hosono is so kind. He listens and gives patients LOTS of time to think. He is so patient and makes everyone so comfortable. He WANTS to SOLVE medical problems. With Dr. Hosono, we never feel like we are on a "conveyor belt" where the doctor is just trying to move patients through. Dr. Hososno cares and works so hard to help. THANK YOU!!!!

Dr. Hosono and his staff have made dealing with the diagnosis of my child's diabetes much easier than I expected. They are there for every question, concern, and meltdown. This process wouldn't have gone as well as it has if it wasn't for them. I am incredibly grateful. I lean on them to learn how to care for my daughter, and they have never made me uncomfortable for my 100th question. We are doing well because of them!

Dr. Hosono is an AMAZING provider. He is the best one I have ever had. He truly cares about everything and makes an effort to get to know me as a person. He is always willing to investigate and connect us with people who may be able to help with issues not relating to his speciality. He explains things very thoroughly and always makes sure all of your questions are answered.
