Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: When I was 8 years old, a close friend was diagnosed with leukemia. I decided I wanted to be a pediatrician because I wanted to help children like my friend. I loved science and puzzles, so it seemed like the best thing in the world to be since you could help people at the same time. What I want my patients to know about me: I was born and raised in Baltimore in a super close family. I learned to talk super fast early in my life and am still a bit of a talker. My favorite part of pediatrics is getting to know patients and families. What I do when I'm not seeing patients: I mostly spend time with my husband and our two children. I like to bake. I also enjoy reading.
