Returning patient with co-insurances and a scheduled appointment for same service as previously provided by physician and all previous bills paid in full.  Physician REFUSED to see me unless my credit card was entered into his practice's database.  Credit card was entered by his staff and he saw me.   Physician later stated that he had over $100,000 in unpaid receipts from 2024 and needed money up front. Upon exiting, I  paid in full by credit card via point of sale card reader because his office staff said insurance would not cover the procedure. Even someone in his back office called up front to be sure I paid.  I discovered I was double billed for the one $200 procedure which has been verified by my credit card company (two separate charges within one minute for the same amount).  Physician did in fact BILL MY INSURANCES AND THEY PAID HIM !   After two phone calls I brought the evidence they requested into the office as they requested.  After conferring with physician, staff stated that they could not reimburse me and that I had to dispute duplicate charge with my credit card company.  I am now the one tracking down reimbursement via a claim from my insurance and trying to get the overcharge reversed.  By the way, we are talking about $200 service.
