Sent our daughter to Mastermind Care in Margate, Florida where Dr. Cruz was Medical Director. Our daughter was supposed to receive 30 days/nights of psychiatric treatment. In less than a week Dr. Cruz committed her to a psychiatric hospital and upon her return, she was discharged with no refund of any of the $15,000 we paid. Mastermind Care did not have the proper psychiatric staff as was stated to the Department of Children and Families in Florida. They admitted only to having interns and CAPs. Dr. Cruz as the medical director should have realized our daughter should not have been accepted at Mastermind Care. His treatment of her actually did more harm than good. I would not recommend Dr. Cruz or Mastermind Care.
