Excellent doctor and staff. Competent, good listener, well-prepared. Very easy location coming from the east with easy parking at the building. Very nice support staff. Very happy with my care and choice of endocrinologist. Only issue was difficulty scheduling because I live in Bend, OR. Was told I couldn't become a patient due to distance, and this info came well after I waited weeks for the referral process to clear. Already a Prov. Patient at neurology, so this was frustrating. Had to convince the schedulers because I often work in Portland. Is it legal to deny patient care due to resident location if living within the state?

Dr. Stephens is one of if not the best physician I've ever had. I'm sorry that she's leaving the practice and I can only hope that the high quality of care, professionalism and empathy and respect that she has always shown me in all my interactions with her, continues with the other physicians in this practice. She is and was the gold standard in healthcare and will be sorely missed, not only by me, but most likely by her other patients as well as the support staff in her clinic. Dr. Stephens provides excellent medical care and treatment. As a type-1 diabetic for almost 30 years, Dr. Stephens stays on top of concerns related to my diabetes and related conditions. With the addition of cardiologist in Jan 2023, Dr. Stephens is keenly aware of the connection to my diabetes and ordered additional bloodwork at my most recent visit. She is also expert at the technology (insulin pump and CGMS) tools I use. I am privileged and grateful to be in the care of Dr. Stephens and her team at PPMC Endocrinology East.

Dr Stephens is extremely knowledgeable and excellent at helping me to navigate my diabetes care. I began seeing her a couple of years ago after my previous endocrinologist retired. We discussed using pump therapy during my first visit and I soon decided to try a pump for the first time. I have had type 1 diabetes for sixty years and have consistently had A1c reading below 7.0 for the first time in my life since being cared for at Providence Endocrinology East.

Dr. Stephens is one of the best endocrinologists that I have worked with in my life as a type 1 diabetic. Her staff has been excellent as well. She is always knowledgeable about my medical history, has had very good suggestions for improving my control, and seems to be a caring doctor that understands my depressions with my shortcoming to succeed, and my needs. I am grateful that she is now my chief "diabetes" doctor.

I see Dr Stephens annually to review my diabetes. She was going to do a A1c lab test but I had just had one & had brought in the results. She examined my feet and will sign an authorization for me to get diabetic shoes. I refer top notch care from this provider. She treats me as a whole person and not just my ailment/diagnosis. Dr. Stephen's is the best endocrinologist I have ever had. I've waited my whole life to find a doctor like her. I would have had a very different childhood and up bringing if I had had a doctor like her. She supports my decisions without making me feel like I am doing it all wrong.
