I couldn't find any reviews for Dr. Vo and my experience with him was so good that I signed up on this site just to write this. He's new to the Eugene area, which is why you won't find much information about him.

I'm an extremely well-informed patient and I don't put up with being treated like doctors know more about my body than I do. I've had trouble in the past with doctors who seem to want to shove their credentials in my face instead of actually listen to me. Dr. Vo, while he does have that usual doctor-y aloofness, doesn't share that all-too-common problem of not listening. I warn doctors/nurses/etc. that I ask A LOT of questions, most of them pretty technical (for a non-MD like me) and Dr. Vo didn't mind being asked about so many things.

A willingness to listen to the patient is a top consideration for me when finding a doctor. Dr. Vo is great at that and didn't seem to be in a rush to get to the next patient. My surgery went very well and from what I can tell, Dr. Vo is extremely skilled. I watched a video of the exact same procedure on Youtube before I had my operation and that patient had twice as many incisions and all of them were much longer than mine. The anesthesiologist told me that if he needed surgery, he'd go to Dr. Vo.

Northwest Surgical Specialists is an excellent practice too. Their office staff is kind and helpful and compassionate, something that is all too rare these days. They're all very professional and seem to like working there. It's unusual to find a place where both the doctors and the office staff are great, but this is one of those places.

I can't speak for the experiences of others or for how the other surgeons at NWSS are, but my experience there was as good as they can realistically get. Dr. Vo excels at what he does and is good outside of the operating room as well. I highly recommend him!
