Sorrowfully I was a client of Dorene Ficks because apparently she was experienced in PTSD, TRAUMA, and eating disorders- I'm here to tell you she is NOT experienced in these things to the degree to which Trauma can Fragment a life into unencoded, implicit memory pieces causing constant chaos within the client, which , what client could ever figure this out on their own. ZERO. She never did recognize what was going on, and I couldn't get her to hear me no matter what i said or how loud I said it, she would assume things but never was able for lack of competence to the degree called for to recognize let alone KNOW WHAT TO DO, so she QUIT, GAVE UP, gutted any and ALL good I had gotten for first time in life , and I had gotten good. Dorene showed me beauty, creativity, kindness - Things ANY TRAUMA client will tell you is soo hard to handle and more often than not will trigger an adverse event, a "part" needing to be heard; Seek out Teresa Lanahan LCSW, she'll see you through TRAUMA HELL.
