Follow up visit with doctor. Followed office directions given on phone prior to visit. Tried to follow those directions at office. Lack of complete explanation meant an insult by member of office staff without any insulting language back from me. I spoke with Dr Fiander about my encounter with her office staff member. Dr Fiander listened and explained that things are constantly changing in the various offices. No apology by Dr. Fiander and wondered if she really cared about me as a patient as appointment felt very rushed. I should have asked if better or worse insults are given at the other offices.

I had a complete retinal detachment, and Dr. Fiander performed the surgery to correct it, and by all accounts, did a great job. She even tolerated all my talking and questions during the operation. I generally do quite a bit of research prior to any medical situation, and she was great about not treating me as "just" a patient, she treated me like I knew what was going on. And the followup visit was just as thorough, to the point where I didn't have any additional questions (very rare for me). Thanks!
