Dr. Solondz is very much willing to discuss my medications, and we discuss how I react to different medications, because I take many from different doctors. So If we agree that fine tuning Is warranted. He helps us understand side effects and how a certain interaction with other medications could be detrimental. So only if we think that a slight change to one medication may make my quality of life better, we do decide to make a change. And if he thinks that we should approach a medication change with caution he will schedule a follow up appointment to get an update.

Dr. Solondz takes the time to go through my chart and get himself up to date. He asks questions for clarification. He goes over my medications and who prescribes them. He asks me questions for clarification (I have a complicated medical history). They he diverts his full attention to me to address the medical issues I have and he is very kind and reassures me. He comes up with a plan and puts in any referrals needed. He is a great combination of compassion and huge medical knowledge. I feel very fortunate and very grateful that he is my primary care physician.

It seems that all doctors spend most of the time looking at a computer screen, asking questions, and making notes using a keyboard.I realize that they need to keep accurate records, and they do talk with me at the end of the session, but sometimes I wish that they would spend less time looking at the screen and more time actually engaging with me. An office visit is short enough as it is, and I appreciate any time that a doctor or other practitioner can spend with me.

I felt very cared for and listened to at this appointment. A couple of things stood out to me: the MA asked me if I'd like to be weighed instead of telling me-I appreciate that it was a choice, not a given, as it helped me feel more empowered about my own health. I also felt that Dr Solondz listened to me very carefully and thoughtfully, and we took our time talking. I never felt that he was rushing to get to the next patient at all.

Die to a complex medical profile, I am a 36 yo woman who has seen well over 50 physicians In my lifetime, and Dr. David Solondz easily ranks among the top 3 among them. He is thorough, inquisitive and most important always approaches me with genuine, authentic care.
