Dr. David Joseph Flynn, DDS

I was a patient here from the time I was a child up until 2020. My entire family uses this office for anything dental related. I had one of my molars pulled, and a few weeks/months after, I felt like there was something wrong with the tooth that was next to the missing molar. I went back, they did X-rays of that one tooth and told me everything is fine. Any time I had a follow up (annual cleaning) for the next few years, I mentioned it again, and they kept telling me it was fine. I eventually needed my other 3 molars taken out but they no longer did that procedure in office (I wonder why!) and referred me to a oral surgeon. They did my X-rays (not the oral surgeon) and sent them to the place I was going to have my molars taken out. I got the molars removed by the surgeon and went back for a follow up visit with the surgeon and asked them if they could also look at the tooth next to the missing molar (the one that I had removed first). They looked at it, looked at the X-rays that my dentist sent them, and told me that tooth was severely infected and would have to be pulled because there is no chance a root canal would be able to fix it. I was so upset. Immediately after that I walked into this office and spoke to Dr David Flynn. He saw the X-rays and basically said yes I can see it now (talking about the infection). He then proceeded to examine my mouth and push on the tooth (it was so infected that it was wiggling). He was so dismissive of me I was in tears. He never once apologized for the incompetence at his office, or offered to pay to have the tooth pulled, even though it is the fault of his office that it got so bad it needed to be pulled. I asked for my medical records and was given my X-rays along with Dr notes (which were basically scribble and did not mention my complaints about the tooth at each visit). I don’t know how they get away with not having proper, detailed, medical records of what happened / what they did at each visit. This was years ago, but I remember after that interaction I tried calling the office and was either hung up on or my calls were ignored. It got to the point I would have to use my sisters phone to call. I would sue them if I had the time/money. Do NOT go here if you need anything other than a basic cleaning, or if you have any concerns/pain in your teeth.
