Dr. Bauer performed brain surgery on our nine-year-old (then 8), and it was incredible. He is the best in every possible way. We met with and interviewed about five neurosurgeons to better understand and feel prepared for our son's impending Chiari malformation, blocked 4th ventricle, and syringomyelia diagnosis. Dr. Bauer was in the process of writing the AMA guidelines for operating on Chiari. Not only was he highly skilled in all things neurosurgery, but he also excelled in communicating with our family, especially our son. We will always feel blessed for having met him and alleviating our son of a lifetime of pain. What he did is nothing short of a miracle. 

I would strongly recommend any parent who might be reading this to at least meet with Dr. Bauer. It will make your journey and your child's life so much better.
