Dr. Baskin went through detailed information in a way that I could understand, for example explaining the MRI results and showing the images. He answered any questions my husband or I had and was thorough in giving information about my care/recovery needs. He also provided a 'baseline' as to why he did the surgery the way he did making me feel more confident about his expertise in the field. I am beyond thankful to have been referred to Dr. Baskin for the treatment of my tumor. With no time for a 'second opinion' (as they say you should have) I am convinced that Dr. Baskin was the best choice for the operation and aftercare. He is personable, meticulous in the OR, approachable with questions, and provides information that patients and their families can understand. Not to mention, he does this with a positive and caring attitude, and in a manner that makes you feel comfortable. He is NOT abrasive or give you that feeling that he (the surgeon) is 'above' you (the patient), as I have experienced with other surgeons. I would highly recommend Dr. Baskin to anyone in need of his care.
