I have had three blood tests and have yet to receive a call from Dr. Southren, despite the fact that one of the results was elevated. (It took three weeks to even hear about this!) The answering service is located in TEXAS!  In order to even speak to a nurse in the Valley Cottage office I have waited days.  Dr. Southren reduced the drugs my husband and I were taking -  prescribed by another doctor - because he thought this protocol was excessive (We had to change cardiologists because the doctor we loved moved quite far away) I recently spoke our previous doctor on the phone and she was quite unhappy that the medical protocol was so different.  I will be looking for a doctor I can speak with, ask questions directly to, one who seems to actually care about me.
