I had been a patient of MS. Preis for approximately 3 or 4 years when I began to finally pursue disability. I am a highly intelligent and was a career driven individual. I was diagnosed with Bipolar I, ADHD, PTSD, and severe anxiety disorder. To start with, the staff was as unwelcoming and condemning as they could possibly be. Almost as though they wanted you to be uncomfortable. The receptionist had no problem rolling her eyes and sighing in frustration in your face. MS. Preis also misrepresented herself as a doctor. It was not until my disability hearing that I learned she was a nurse practitioner and that her cases were supposed to be reviewed by Dr. Gad, was which never happened. I and my insurance were billed $240 AN HOUR!! When I, at max, would spend 5-10 minutes with her. She just wanted to scribble your new prescriptions and make her money. I dealt with her coldness when I really should not have! Her cold, heartlessness was blatantly obvious on this last visit...which by the grace of God, was the first and last time my husband came with me. I was in the middle of the disability case and really struggling with accepting that for myself. As I was sitting in her office, crying my heart out to her, she literally jumped up from her desk, grabbed a box of tissues, flung them at me and said, “That’s enough already! Shut up and dry it up! Let me write these out so I can get you out of here!!” I was so astounded...she had actually verbalized her frustration with me...AND in front of my husband. I began shaking. I had nervous tics in my face. As soon as I left her office, I vomited in the parking lot. I shudder to think of what would have happened to me had I been alone, as usual. SHE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU! YOU ARE A DOLLAR SIGN! PLEASE...find a DOCTOR who has integrity and compassion. This woman is in a very fragile occupation. Lives are at stake. I have now found an amazing doctor and a new life!!! Cause they listen. And care. That is what a dr. does. A real one, anyway! (They shouldn’t get any stars...)
