Dr. Hwang is reputedly very competent as a oncologist and comes well recommended by my urologist. However, during the first several consultations with Dr. Hwang I did not find her very open to the various questions I brought. Nor did she ask pertinent questions. If not encouraged by my urologist, I would not have continued with her. My most recent visit was more successful--it was the first time I found Dr. Hwang responsive to the concerns I brought. If I was confident about future consistency of patient-centered care I would have assigned Dr. Hwang much higher evaluation marks in this survey.
