Cinnamon Geppelt is a dual-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife, at Intermountain Health’s Spring Creek Women’s Health Clinic in Burley, Idaho. She supports patients in Burley, and its surrounding communities providing comprehensive services that covers the lifespan of women including contraception, pregnancy, women's health wellness exams, common gynecological concerns, and menopause management. She believes in listening, and empathy, treats all with a trauma-informed lens, and is welcoming to diverse populations. Cinnamon takes a holistic approach in gynecology and obstetrics, focusing on the whole person not just the issue at hand. She is passionate about expanding access to healthcare and empowering women to actively participate in their care through building trust-based relationships and shared decision-making in a team management approach while staying rooted in an environment of evidence-based care, safety, and education. She loves learning and teaching to help increase health literacy among all patients. Cinnamon views her role as a midwife as more than just clinical expertise—it is a role of profound honor to support women through the challenges and beauty of the birthing process. Cinnamon holds a Doctorate degree in Nursing Practice (DNP) from the University of Utah, where she partnered with the State of Utah's Health Department as part of her doctorate project educating and initiating in both an urban and rural clinic third-trimester syphilis testing and presented the findings at two major conferences and one symposium. Her background includes over 20 years of nursing in Women's Health while serving individuals in Texas, Arkansas, Kansas, and Utah. She also experienced the transformative power of midwifery while living in England, birthing her third child, and was the recipient of Excellence in Nursing awards, and The Engaged Care Giver award at Intermountain in 2019. Originally from a small town, Cinnamon is eager to return to a rural community and bring her wealth of experience, quality educational training, and compassionate care to support and serve women in their health journeys.
